Cathedral Concerts is excited to announce that we are expanding our education and community engagement programs by establishing Cathedral Arts, a sacred arts academy offering programs in music and the arts, including mosaics, stained glass, and architecture that created great cathedrals and other magnificent spaces around the world. The first step in this development is the creation of the Cathedral Arts Chorale under the direction of  Michael Engelhardt. This choir’s mission is to perform major sacred works with orchestra in the awe-inspiring space of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. The choir will also have outstanding opportunities to work with the musical artists Cathedral Concerts brings to St. Louis from around the world.

Cathedral Arts Chorale — Vision Statement

The Cathedral Arts Chorale (CAC) is a diverse, inclusive, semi-professional ensemble of 60-100 voices that performs sacred choral art at the highest levels. It is based at the Cathedral Basilica of St Louis, a sacred space of transcendent beauty situated in the heart of the city. Concert experiences provided by the CAC are carefully crafted to have a universal appeal to people of all backgrounds, contributing to a growing sense of unity in the St Louis area. The CAC is part of the Cathedral Arts program offered by the St. Louis Cathedral Concerts, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and supports its overall mission to present affordable live concerts in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis featuring world-class musicians and the finest repertoire of sacred and classical music for the enrichment, education, and enjoyment of the entire region.
